IJACMI
Scope

What we publish

IJACMI publishes original research in advanced computing and machine intelligence. We are interested in new methods, but we are just as interested in the far less glamorous work of establishing whether a method survives contact with data it was never tuned on.

We actively welcome negative results, replication studies, and papers reporting where a well-known approach fails. A field that publishes only improvements is not measuring anything. A modest gain reported honestly, with proper baselines and a real error analysis, is worth more to us than a large gain we cannot account for.

The journal is deliberately narrow. We would rather be the right home for a defined body of work than a general repository for anything computational.

Article types

What you can send us

Research article

Original work with a clear contribution, full experimental detail and reproducible evaluation. Six to fifteen pages.

Replication study

An independent attempt to reproduce published results, whether or not it succeeds. We treat these as first-class contributions.

Negative result

A well-designed approach that did not work, with enough analysis to tell the reader why. Rigour matters more than outcome.

Review article

A critical survey that organises a field and identifies open problems. Not a summary of abstracts.
